Your image gets printed directly onto a sheet of 1/16" thick aluminum. The aluminum sheet is offset from the wall by a 3/4" thick wooden frame which is attached to the back. Artist's Description

The first in the series of pictures of the Philip Johnson building, AT&T headquarters at the time, also known as the Chippendale building, on Madison Avenue and Fifty-sixth Street.I was seeking to express an idea of Double Vision by juxtaposing two views, one from across the street, and playing with the idea of, I was there a moment ago, and now I\\\'m here. So, it\\\'s like being in two places at once.

The profile picture you see is how we did selfies the old fashioned way...self-portraits! This self-portrait was done in 1980. I was thirty. I had been painting for a couple of years by then. You see me looking at myself in the mirror. I am wearing a pretty dress and earrings. My hair is loose. This was not how I usually looked when I came to the easel. But this self-portrait was different. In this one I am holding out my palette, showing my colors. What I am really doing is saying to God, "Okay, what do you want me to paint now?"
